Administrative HistoryOpened in 1852 as a chapel to Wilmslow. In 1866 it became a parish church serving Chorley [nr. Wilmslow] and parts of Bollinfee and Fulshaw. The church was rededicated to St. Philip & St. James (Alderley Edge) in 2009. For later records, see also Lindow parish.
St. James Mission Church was closed in March 1975 and the building demolished in 1976.
